Starting near the large farmhouse cupboard, yesterday we arrived at the lantern, the image of Beauty. Is there anything more transient and subjective than that, than beauty?
From there it can go in six directions again. If the first line changes, then Beauty changes back to where we started, Keeping Still. A changing second line leads to Accumulation. A third to Nourishment, a fourth to Light, a fifth to Family, and should the upper line change, the situation moves to The Darkening of Light.
The dice decide once again.
Counting from the bottom, the second line. It was broken and is now changing into an unbroken line.
The other five lines remain unchanged. The hexagram of Beauty changes to that of Accumulation: Mountain above Heaven.
Skills have been cultivated, experience gained. Capital has been accumulated, courage gathered. Supporters brought together, ideas cherished. Whatever accumulates must not leak away prematurely, like water from a leaky bucket. What has been gathered with so much effort and dedication needs to be enclosed, requires protection. It was too late in the evening to walk to the bicycle shed next to our house to photograph another image for Chapter 26. So I picked an image from the internet and drew a few arrows in it. The 'Mountain over Heaven' of a bicycle tyre. Accumulated ideas and skills are all too eager to leak away. So, if you ever find yourself in that situation of preparatory gathering, take care for good tyres.
