SCHETSTEN GEÏNSPIREERD OP HET BOEK VAN VERANDERINGEN
Een tekst uit de bronstijd laat zich niet gemakkelijk kennen. Meerdere bronnen naast elkaar leggen, helpt de navigatie. In de onderstaande index refereer ik aan de soms uiteenlopende naamgeving van de hoofdstukken bij de verschillende auteurs.
AH = Alfred Huang schreef The Complete I Ching, een oorspronkelijke vertaling van het Chinees in het Engels. Klassiek en uiterst leesbaar.
RW = Richard Wilhelm verbleef in het begin van de 20e eeuw als missionaris in China, Hij vertaalde de I Ching in het Duits. Voor lange tijd gold dit als de meest vooraanstaande vertaling in het Westen.
JB = Jack Balkin schreef The Laws of Change. Een boek met de helderheid van een rechtsgeleerde. Want dat is hij.
JJ = Julie Tallard Johnson schreef de I Ching for Teens. Onconventioneel en verrassend.
DM = Deng Ming-Dao schreef The Living I Ching. Uitmuntende structuur en poëtisch.
RR = Richard Rutt schreef Zhouyi met als ondertitel Translation with Commentary of the Book of Changes. Onmisbaar historisch perspectief.
SD = Sarah Denig schreef The Everyday I Ching. De invloed van Carl Gustav Jung, die de inleiding voor Richard Wilhelms I Ching schreef, klinkt hier door.
